Kano Confirms Former CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido New Emir

The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been named the new Emir of Kano.
Secretary to the State Government, Dr Rabiu Bichi announced the decision on Sunday afternoon.

Sanusi Lamido beat out other contestants including son of the late Emir, Prince Ado Bayero.
