Manchester City enter the 2014-15 campaign looking to win their third Premier League crown in four seasons, but will be fully aware that a handful of rivals are ready to do everything in their power to dethrone the Citizens.
The path to the 2014-15 title was revealed on Wednesday. The Premier League's official website provides the entire season's fixture list.
Here is the full opening weekend:
Manchester United have the most eye-catching run-in among the country's top teams, facing Manchester City, Chelsea and Everton consecutively in April, handing Louis van Gaal an instant hurdle to overcome during his first term in charge at Old Trafford.
Liverpool, meanwhile, face a tricky start, meeting Manchester City and Tottenham in their second and third fixtures respectively. Champions City also face a difficult opening, taking on Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in their first five fixtures.
If one thing is guaranteed, the 2014-15 campaign will be stacked with genuine world-class attacking talent. Chelsea have already added Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, and the Spaniard is only expected to be the start of an influx of top names to arrive before the opening day of the season.
Liverpool's Luis Suarez had a record-equalling season last year and a handful of young stars burst onto the scene, including Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling and Southampton's Adam Lallana.Full Fixture List 2014-15 (provided by Premierleague.com)
