Williams Trashed and Shocked by Muguruza

Serena Williams was stunned in the second round of the French Open, going down 6-2 6-2 to world number 35 Garbine Muguruza.

The defending champion was off-colour throughout her encounter with the Spaniard on Wednesday, making countless unforced errors as Muguruza deservedly prevailed.
The unseeded Spaniard broke the famous Williams serve on five occasions over the two sets, and sealed victory when the world number one sent a forehand return into the net.
Williams, whose sister Venus also exited the tournament on Wednesday, looked increasingly exasperated towards the latter stages of the second set as she failed to find any sort of consistency with her serve.
She was first broken in game three of the opening set, and Muguruza drove home that advantage with a second break in the top seed's next service game.
Muguruza, yet to go beyond the fourth round in any grand slam, held her nerve in the rest of the set and moved in front to pile the pressure on Williams.
The 20-year-old carried that winning momentum into the early stages of the second set and produced two more breaks to move 3-0 in front with Williams looking increasingly ragged.
Although the American did claw one break back, it was her own serve that was causing the most problems, with two double faults in game five handing Muguruza the initiative once more.
Williams moved 0-40 up front in game six and threatened another mini revival, but more unforced errors allowed Muguruza to hold and the chance was gone.
Muguruza then looked nerveless in serving for the match, holding to love as Williams' defence of the title ended early.
