Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Angel Correa from San Lorenzo, subject to a medical.
The Argentine teenager had previously been linked with a move to Manchester City but, after arriving in the Spanish capital on Monday, he has agreed terms on a five-year contract with the newly crowned Liga champions.
"Atletico Madrid and San Lorenzo have reached an agreement for the transfer of Angel Correa, pending the young Argentine talent passing a medical," read a statement on the Liga side's official website.
"Subsequently, the forward will engage with our club for five seasons."
The 19-year-old Correa, who hails from Lionel Messi's hometown of Rosario, only made his San Lorenzo debut last year but quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young attackers in Argentina.
