Arsenal clinched their first FA Cup trophy since 2004 with a 3-0 defeat of Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and a 25-yeards stunner by Olivier Giroud consigned the champions to their first loss in the Premier League curtain-rasier.

The Gunners made six changes from the side which started the FA Cup final win over Hull in May, with new boys Callum Chambers, Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy making their debut.

City were without 8 players from the start list against West Ham on the last day of the 2013/14 triumphant campaign, with goalkeeper and summer signing from Malaga Willy Cabalero and midfielder Fernando taking the bow, as many others involved in the World Cup knock-out stages were rested.

Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla scored his second Wembley goal in quick successions on 21 minutes, finding the bottom corner with his left-footed shot.

Yaya Sanogo then laid an accurate pass to Welshman Aaron Ramsey to smash a powerful shot past new City goalkeeper Willy Cabalero three minutes to the break.

Half-time substitute Olivier Giroud dipped a left-footed strike into the top corner of the net from 25-yards to seal victory a minute after the hour mark, after Stevan Jovetic had headed a knocked-down effort against the woodwork.

The victory is just Arsenals second (L4, D3) in 9 matches against the Citizens, who were lacking in depth and creativity on the day
